Services
At Joyful Mothers, we provide antenatal services to help you prepare for the birth of your baby (or babies). I offer information and guidance on everything from preparing for labour to breastfeeding.
As your birth doula, I will be there to support you through every step of your pregnancy and birth journey. From creating a birth plan to providing emotional support during labor, I am here to help you achieve a positive birth experience.
For mothers (partners) the postnatal period (often called the 4th trimester) can be daunting, coupled with sleep deprivation, your recovery and much more. Let me help you take the night shift whilst you (and your partner) sleep and rest with peace of mind knowing your baby is in safe hands.

Why use a Doula?
‘Doula’ is a Greek word meaning ‘woman servant’ or ‘caregiver’. Here are a few joys of having a Doula:
-
Personal support throughout pregnancy, birth and after birth care. Research has shown having a Doula can greatly reduce the need for interventions.
-
A listening ear and a safe space for you. Doula's provide you with non-judgemental and evidence-based informative advice.
-
You will feel empowered to make decisions that feel right for you and your family.
-
Parent centred approach that seeks to provide continuous personal emotional and practical support.
