Birth
Do you know during birth not only is a baby born but a mother is born too?
As a Birth Doula, my approach is mother-centered and we achieve this by creating a personalised experience around your unique needs and desires for your birth experience. I believe that birth is a joyful and transformative process and my goal is to provide you with the emotional and physical support you need every step of the way from creating a birth plan to providing physical comfort during labour. My services are tailored to meet your unique needs.

An integral part of my support is helping you to trust in your body and holding space for you by empowering and equipping you with the right information to make informed decisions.
Let me help you create a positive and memorable birth experience.

How we work with you
We will have two pre-birth sessions, the aim of these is to get to know you but also to understand your hopes, fears, expectations and if needed dispel any myths you have!
-
We will discuss various pathways to birth and specifically your preference. This will help you create a birthing plan that you feel comfortable with.
-
I will provide you and your birthing partner with various useful tools to support you during pregnancy, labour, birth and after birth.
-
You will be able understand how I will proactively support you and your (birthing) partner using massages, breathing, relaxation and various pain management techniques.
-
You will further understand the birthing physiology and comfort measures available.
-
Assist you with baby's first feed to ensure baby is latching and you feel confident doing so.
-
Once baby is born I can help you and your partner settle with baby within the first joyful hour of birth.
-
Email and phone support throughout your pregnancy.
-
I will be on call 24/7 from 38 weeks to 42 weeks
-
Following the birth of your child, I will visit you twice to debrief and answer any questions you have about your birth experience. This is your time to ask questions without fear or judgement and for me to provide the support you need. The second visit will be in the first 6weeks following the birth of baby.
